Informa Economics is a global leader in food agriculture and agribusiness research and analysis.  In late 2013, GeoSilos and Informa Economics partnered in a multi-client study focusing on the exciting new area of Big Data and AgInformatics. The objective of the Informa-GeoSilos study was to better understand the current state and future of AgInformatics and develop concepts and conclusions that will help guide future application of these technologies.


Farm Market iD “harvests the most reliable and richest data, providing the deepest solutions for the U.S. agriculture industry.” GeoSilos supports Farm Market iD’s efforts to expand geospatial data capacity to further enable its data collection, layering, analyzing, visualization, and distribution capabilities as well as hold the potential to deliver value to customers in new and meaningful ways.


Interconnectivity in agriculture is the most important technological issues facing the food and agriculture industry. Cygnus Business Media’s (Now American Farm Bureau) IDEAg group approached GeoSilos to support content development activities; event planning; speaking and moderating support; and consultation as it relates to content, agenda, presenters, etc. at the 2012 IDEAg Interconnectivity Conference and was a keynote speaker at the 2013 event.

GeoSilos also works with organizations like the Farm Foundation Round Table and the Agribusiness Council of Indiana to help clients better understand place based drivers of stakeholder development such as member mapping, demographic and natural resource analyses. For many organizations, map based visualizations are the first step in a better understanding of data assets.
